Dr. Gregory Echt, M.D.
“Science continues to serve cancer care through ongoing developments in diagnostic and treatment options and I’m always excited by these advancements. But what’s most exciting to me is the personal side of cancer care – of being able to work with my patients and their families on a personal level. This is where I find my inspiration and where I fulfill my true calling.” ~ Dr. Gregory Echt
As the founder of Choice Cancer Care, Dr. Gregory Echt has roots in medicine as the son of a doctor. After earning his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Indiana University, Dr. Echt completed his internship and residency at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California. Following his residency, Dr. Echt began his first radiation oncology practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. From there, with a growing reputation for excellence in cancer care in North Texas and national recognition for his research in prostate cancer treatments, Dr. Echt grew his practice to encompass a variety of facilities under the Choice Cancer Care name.
Today, Dr. Echt treats his patients at the Cancer Center at Wise Regional, as well as Las Colinas Cancer Center, and the Prostate Seed Institute. He also performs prostate seed implantation in multiple private North Texas surgery centers.
In addition, Dr. Echt is involved in the Sandler-Kenner Foundation – a nonprofit organization focused on raising funds for pancreatic cancer research and supporting those in North Texas who are battling cancer – as co-founder and chairman of the board.
Dr. Echt lives with his wife Susan and their two children. He enjoys music and sports and he and his family are proud members of the Congregation Shearith Israel in Dallas.
